This role is responsible for assisting the Head of PMO to maintain a multi-year Portfolio Plan which captures all approved projects and proposals to inform project prioritisation based on agreed criteria.
The role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a multi-year model of those resources needed to execute the projects and approved proposals on the Portfolio Plan. The resource model will be developed with the cooperation of all stakeholders internal and external to the Technology Services (TS) team.
The role is responsible for assisting the Head of PMO to develop, implement and maintain an estimating tool set for use by Project Managers in estimating the costs of a project.
The role will assist Project Managers in areas of project administration where required.

What you will bring to the role:

  • 5 years’ experience working in a PMO environment in a similar role.
  • Strong experience in project estimation, resource modelling and scheduling
  • PMO and/or Project management certification (PMI, Prince2, P3O etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of project management strategies, processes, and tools.
  • Ability to analyse a range of complex data and make decisions based on analytical findings.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and deal with conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Strong program coordination and administration abilities.
  • Flexibility with working hours including the ability to work after hours and travel locally and within Australia if required
