You will be an integral member of the project team specifically responsible for management of project data in accordance with project procedures and specifications. This role will report to the Information Management / Information Technology Manager and will require significant interaction with project delivery teams and an in-depth understanding of multiple contract scopes required to support project execution including the associated applications and databases that support capital project EPC-based information delivery.

Some of the key deliverables and responsibilities for this role are as follows:

  • Liaise with relevant support groups to deliver and configure Engineering Data Management tools to support management of both Asset and Project data through its lifecycle.
  • Manage Engineering Data Warehouse as Asset Hierarchy Master / Asset Register including associated interfaces.
  • Maintain the Asset Reference Data Libraries for each data-oriented application – ensuring maximum alignment to the Global RDL (Reference Data Library) and Global EIS/DEP Standards.
  • Ensure successful and regular data validation / business assurance throughout the Operate phase of the Asset.
  • Maintain tagging procedures and standards in conjunction with Engineering disciplines.
  • Ensure that Data Management and Handover Plans are developed & implemented by the Project and Brownfields execution contractors and equipment vendors.
  • Manage collection, integration, and validation of data from contractors and/or internal Project stakeholders into central data repository (Engineering Data Warehouse).
  • Conduct specific System Administration activities for nominated 2D Design Tools (SPI, SPPID).
  • Develop, prepare and issue data reports (including progress of data delivery per handover and/or contractor).
  • Coordinate Data handover to all parties i.e. Commissioning, Operational Readiness and Assurance, and Operations, relevant to the needs of the next Project phase.
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of CMMS build and ensure all IM data requirements are conveyed to delivery groups.
  • Manage and supervise Engineering Data Control services rendered by Third-Party providers.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with key Vendors and Third-Party providers.
  • Partner with the business to understand and ensure key Data Governance and Data Quality measures are implemented across the Engineering Information domain.
  • Partner with the business in identifying Digitalisation and Visualisation opportunities leveraging the data landscape
  • Develop and deliver training in Engineering Data requirements and obligations, to stakeholders.

To be successful in the role you we are looking for someone with the following:

  • Project/Asset opportunity lifecycle exposure (ie SELECT-DEFINE-EXECUTE-OPERATE)
  • Significant experience and data control as part of major Capital Project delivery;
  • Significant experience of managing multiple contract scopes required to support project execution including the associated applications and databases that support capital project EPC-based information delivery.
  • Significant experience and knowledge of working with EPC Contractor and Supplier/Vendor data
  • Significant knowledge of electronic Engineering Document Control Systems (EDMS)
