Android Solution Lead

  • Lead Android architecture and technical strategy
  • Expert in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and modern Android development.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and large-scale mobile applications

We’re looking for an experienced Android Solution Lead to help shape the future of a flagship mobile application used by millions of Australians.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll own the Android technical roadmap, drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers across squads, and help deliver high-quality mobile experiences at scale.

The Opportunity

You’ll provide technical leadership across multiple teams while remaining actively involved in architecture and engineering. Working closely with Product, UX, QA and Security stakeholders, you’ll drive engineering excellence, modernisation and continuous improvement across the Android platform.

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive Android development experience.
  • Strong Kotlin and Jetpack Compose expertise.
  • Experience with MVVM, MVI and modern Android architecture.
  • Experience working within large-scale or multi-module applications.
  • Strong understanding of testing, code quality and CI/CD practices.
  • Proven ability to lead technical decisions and influence stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Kotlin Multiplatform experience.
  • Experience leading large application modernisation initiatives.
  • Exposure to observability and automation tooling.
  • Wear OS or Android widget development experience.
