We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to help design, build, and support enterprise cloud solutions. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, improve platform automation, drive cloud best practices, and help teams deliver secure and scalable solutions. Working closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders, you will play a key role in evolving cloud platforms, improving developer experience, and supporting the organisation's cloud transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and support cloud platform solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across cloud engineering initiatives
- Drive automation, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps best practices
- Develop and support secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud platform services
- Lead security remediation and vulnerability management activities
- Build and support container-based solutions using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve cloud capabilities and developer experience
- Contribute to cloud platform standards, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support cloud platform roadmap and innovation activities
About You:
- Strong experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
- Experience with cloud security, networking, identity, and compliance principles
- Software engineering experience with languages such as Golang, Python, or similar
- Strong understanding of DevOps and cloud automation practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work across complex technical environments
- GCP certifications and other cloud certifications will be highly regarded
